In addition to the previous advisory regarding our out-gate policy, please note the following and please pass this information to your drivers:
Effective immediately drivers queuing up at the out-gate earlier than 5 p.m. will be forced to exit the facility. In addition, these drivers will be required to complete the STEP class before they are allowed to return to the terminal. Please note repeat offenders will be banned from Pier 400.
Keep in mind we provide the added service of remaining open between 5 and 6 p.m. to assist the trucking community by allowing entry to the terminal during this hour and be ready to out-gate at 6:01 (avoiding the TMF fee).
Recently however we have experienced an excessive amount of drivers queuing up at the out-gate as early as 3:30-4 p.m. This causes an excessive amount of traffic and blocks drivers that have paid the TMF fee from exiting the facility.
