Message from TraPac Terminal
To all,
TraPac's maingate entrance is constantly being used as a U-turn lane to get into the TTI queue lane (heading east on 7th Street) or trucks that are lost which is not only affecting our traffic ingate access but also creating a very unsafe condition for vendors and company personnel exiting the facility. Today, a truck broke down while attempting to make the U-turn and blocked our entrance.
In addition, there have been near miss incidents (almost accidents) between truck/cars heading west on 7th Street and trucks making the U-turn. I hope all can agree this is unacceptable and ask all companies speak with their staff regarding this problem. The Port and OPD have been notified and have reacted quickly to this issue.
Safety is everyone's concern and just asking for help to ensure no one is hurt- we all want to go home in one piece at the end of the day.
